Serivce Opportunity: Vicky Prewitt (829-8700) is the local coordinator for the Operation Christmas Child program. She needs volunteers to serve at Wal-Mart on November 7, 13 & 14 as well as to help receive boxes at Shelby Christian the week of November 16-22 at 2-6PM. HIGHLAND BAPTIST SHOE BOX GIFTS NEEDED
Items needed for the Operation Christmas Child Shoe Boxes. Gift Suggestions are:
pens, pencils & sharpeners, crayons, markers, coloring & picture books, small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, small etch A Sketch, toys that light up or make noise (with batteries), Slinky, toothbrush, toothpaste, mild bar soap (in plastic bag) comb, washcloth, hard candy/suckers (double bag candy), mints, gum, T-shirts, socks, ball caps, sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewelry, wathces, flashlights (with batteries).
In a separate envelope you may enclose a note to the child and a photo of yourself or your family. If you include your name and address the child may wirte back.
